Bushfire Risk Management Research Hub

The Bushfire Risk Management Research Hub was a unique, state-focused collaboration between the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, leading research institutions, fire management agencies and bushfire experts.

 

The Hub researched ways to improve fire management strategies and reduce the risk bushfires pose to people, property and the environment. It was set up for policy makers, planners and managers to work alongside academics so findings could be shared, and significant outcomes applied without delay.

The Hub host, the University of Wollongong, led a team of world-class experts from Western Sydney University, the University of New South Wales, the University of Tasmania and NSW fire management agencies.
