Somerton National Park Plan of Management
Somerton National Park is located approximately 40 kilometres east of Gunnedah and 14 kilometres south-west of the township of Somerton. The park is 760 hectares and forms part of a chain of reserves stretching the length of the Brigalow Belt South and Nandewar bioregions.

Somerton National Park was formerly state forest and was established under the Brigalow and Nandewar Community Conservation Area Act 2005.
Over 150 plant and 85 animal species are protected in the park, including several threatened animal species. The park also protects Aboriginal sites and forms an important connection to Country for the Gamilaraay (Gomeroi) Aboriginal People.
