Intersecting Streams Environmental Water Advisory Group

Environmental Water Advisory Groups work closely with the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water to prioritise delivery of water for the environment to sites across the state.

Advisory groups may include recreational fishers, landholders, Aboriginal groups, independent scientists, local government representatives and a variety of partner agencies, along with environmental water managers from the department.

The groups meet regularly to discuss proposed or upcoming watering events, any issues or concerns, the results of watering events and future opportunities.

The aim of each Environmental Water Advisory Group is to bring together a range of knowledge and experience to advise on the use of and held environmental water.

The department is in the process of developing a Barwon–Darling and Intersecting Streams Environmental Water Advisory Group.
