Kamay Botany Bay National Park Planning Considerations

Kamay Botany Bay National Park is a nationally significant site as it is the site of the first encounter between Aboriginal Australians and the crew of Captain Cook's Endeavour. The park contains a range of Aboriginal sites, with Aboriginal culture and connection to Country acknowledged and celebrated.

The park has important scenic and natural values including dramatic clifftops, beaches and habitat for endangered communities. The park also attracts a wide array of visitors seeking diverse recreational opportunities.
