Air quality in the Upper Hunter and throughout NSW continued to improve in 2021 compared to recent years. This was primarily due to the region experiencing cooler and wetter than average conditions. Particle levels at Muswellbrook and Singleton were within national benchmarks 100% and 99.7% of days during 2021, respectively.
