Pre-2017 assessments and reviews

Before the repeal of the Threatened Species Conservation Act in 2017 the NSW Scientific Committee published assessment and review reports for species, populations and ecological communities.

The Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 (TSC Act) commenced on 1 January 1996 and was replaced by the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 (BC Act) on 25 August 2017.

The NSW Scientific Committee established under the TSC Act assessed the threat status of species, populations and ecological communities using the listing criteria of the TSC Act and the Threatened Species Conservation Regulation 2010.

The NSW Scientific Committee also published review reports for groups of animals and plants.

These assessment and reviews were evaluated at the state level rather than the national level. They are published here for reference purposes and some information may have been superseded by later listings or assessment and review reports.
