Killalea Regional Park

A draft plan of management for Killalea Regional Park is now available. A community reference group has provided input from key stakeholders in the development of the draft plan.

The draft plan was on public exhibition from 27 October 2023 to 29 January 2024, and provided an important opportunity for members of the public to have a say in the future management of Killalea Regional Park.

Killalea Regional Park is on Dharawal Country in the Illawarra Region; it was gazetted as part of the NSW national parks estate on 1 July 2022. The park has significant cultural and ecological importance and receives over 30,000 visitors a month.

The park protects habitat for a number of threatened animal and plant species and includes important ecological communities, including coastal freshwater wetlands and littoral rainforests.
