Morton State Conservation Area Plan of Management
Morton State Conservation Area was formerly state forest and was reserved as an outcome of the Southern Regional Forest Agreement in 2001.
The park has an area of 1050 hectares but despite its small size, presents scenic cliff and river views and a sense of remoteness. A broad range of threatened animals are protected in the park, as well as regionally significant vegetation and cultural heritage values. Morton State Conservation Area also provides a range of bushwalking opportunities and access to the privately owned Coolendel Camping Area.
