The NSW Government, through the Marine Estate Management Authority (MEMA), has been developing a network management plan for the 5 mainland marine parks using a new planning approach.
The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water – Environment, Energy and Science and the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water – Planning and Assessment are 2 of the 4 NSW Government agencies that comprise MEMA, who provide advice on the management of the NSW marine estate.
The 5 NSW mainland marine parks are:
- Cape Byron
- Solitary Islands
- Port Stephens-Great Lakes
- Jervis Bay
- Batemans.
You can help us improve the management of one of New South Wales' greatest assets by providing your feedback on the Draft Management Plan for the NSW Mainland Marine Park Network 2021–2031 by 31 January 2022.
