Eucalyptus parramattensis subsp. parramattensis population, Wyong Local Government Area - rejection of endangered population listing

The Scientific Committee, established by the Threatened Species Conservation Act, has made a Final Determination to reject a proposal to list the population of Eucalyptus parramattensis C. Hall subsp. parramattensis in Wyong local government area as an ENDANGERED POPULATION in Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Act. Rejection of nominations is provided for by Part 2 of the Act.

The Scientific Committee, established by the Threatened Species Conservation Act, has made a Final Determination to reject a proposal to list the population of Eucalyptus parramattensis C. Hall subsp.  parramattensis in Wyong local government area as an ENDANGERED POPULATION in Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Act. Rejection of nominations is provided for by Part 2 of the Act.

The Scientific Committee has found that:

1. The population of Eucalyptus parramattensis subsp.  parramattensis occurs in both Wyong and Lake Macquarie local government areas.

2. In view of the above the Scientific Committee is of the opinion that the proposal to list the population of the Eucalyptus parramattensis C. Hall subsp.  parramattensis in Wyong local government area should be rejected. The Committee intends to make a preliminary determination to support a proposal to list the population of  Eucalyptus parramattensis C. Hall subsp.  parramattensis in Wyong and Lake Macquarie local government areas as an endangered population.
