Camerons Gorge Nature Reserve and State Conservation Area contain one of the best remaining vegetation corridors from the Great Escarpment west along the Liverpool Range to Coolah Tops. They conserve 13 different vegetation communities and 239 plant species, as well as 7 bird species and 1 mammal listed as vulnerable under the Threatened Species Conservation Act.
