Determining native vegetation land categorisation for application in the Biodiversity Offsets Scheme

This guide outlines:

• an evidence-based approach to identifying native vegetation regulatory (NVR) map land categorisation
• biodiversity assessment requirements in relation to category 1-exempt land. 

This is a guide for assessment on areas not yet designated on the transitional or draft NVR map. It does not apply to land excluded from the operation of Part 5A of the Local Land Services Act 2013 (LLS Act) (‘excluded land’).
