Volunteer information portal

Explore projects you can get involved with on our online volunteering portal.

Volunteer with the department using our online, cloud-based portal.

The portal hosts many of our volunteer projects and activities, including those from NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, Royal Botanic Gardens, and a selection from Saving our Species.

Volunteers can search for projects to get involved with, sign up and join like-minded volunteers to help the environment.

Projects involve activities that directly benefit our natural environment, such as:

  • collecting data for plant and animal surveys
  • weeding
  • tree planting.

The portal enables you to create an account, sign up for a project, organise your shifts, track hours and find out about volunteer news from across the state.

Search for current projects and apply to volunteer for the environment.

You can also download the My Impact app on Apple or Android and use it to search for ‘Volunteering at the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water’.
