Acknowledgment of Country
The NSW Government acknowledges and respects past, present and emerging Traditional Custodians and Elders, across all lands on which koalas occur.
In acknowledging this continued connection to Country, and the ongoing custodianship of the koala, the NSW Koala Strategy developed a film celebrating the program's meaningful engagement and partnerships with Aboriginal communities.
The Acknowledgement to Country film was written by Dhanggati Traditional Owner Nancy Pattinson and endorsed by the statewide Koala Aboriginal Advisory Panel. Involving Aboriginal Traditional Owners caring for Koala Country across the state, the film highlights the important role Aboriginal communities play in conserving koalas and their habitat.
