Willandra National Park Plan of Management
Willandra National Park is representative of the grassland and cottonbush plains of central western NSW and contains a sample of the Riverine Plain of the Murray Darling Basin Lowlands. The park provides habitat for 16 threatened animal species and 2 threatened plant species, including ducks and other waterbirds that use Willandra Creek and the ephemeral lakes within the park.
The park contains a range of Aboriginal sites. In the past Willandra Creek served as an important travel route and source of food for the Ngiyampaa Wangaaypuwan people.
