The northern-most site is 40 kilometres west of Narooma with the southern-most record at the Towamba River, west of the town of Burragate. It grows on rocky sites ranging from clifftops to lower slopes in areas with shallow soils. This species is known to occur in national parks, flora reserves and on Crown land.
