Grey Snake Hemiaspis damelii (Günther 1876) has been listed as an Endangered species.
In New South Wales this species is currently known to occur in the Yanga National Park, Gayini Nimmie-Caira, the Gwydir Wetlands, the Macquarie Marshes and the Great Cumbung Swamp.
